Combi boilers or Combination boilers are the most popular type of system used in the UK in most households.

Combi boilers are efficient and also cost a lot less in heating bills. Thus being said, they only heat water when it is required, rather than storing it in a tank.

They are small and compact as they do not require a hot water tank meaning they can be fitted in most places in your home.

We would suggest a replacement, a repair can sometimes be as expensive as a brand new boiler. Repairing an old boiler could be a quick fix but could also breakdown rapidly meaning, you have spent money on a repair and then may have to replace relatively soon after your repair.

A boiler replacement is usually more efficient and more reliable, with also comes with up to a 13 year guarantee depending on the package you select. meaning your manufacturer will repair it with no extra charge.

We can provide a brand new A-rated boiler from £1,550.

We would provide:

  • a brand new A-rated boiler
  • A brand flue
  • All the correct fixtures and fitting with correct safety attachments
  • Installation by one of our local PLT GROUP certified Gas safe registered engineers.

No, all of our engineers will use dustsheets to protect the area they’re working on. Making sure its always clean and tidy. If mess is made the engineer has a hoover and appropriate cleaning equipment, making sure your home is left exactly the same as when they arrived.

Thermostatic radiator valves or TRV’s, are controls for your radiators.

TRV’s sense the air temperature around them and regulate the flow of water through the radiator which they are fitted to. They do not control your boiler.

These should be set to a level that gives you the room temperature you require.

TRV’s also let you turn the heating off in a specific room for example, in a roof your not using, without turning off the heating within the whole property.

A flue is a pipe, like a chimney, that carries waste from your boiler, outside. You can see your flue exit (the part of the flue that comes out of your house) on the wall or roof of your property.

Flues can be either square or round in shape.

If your flue is less than 2 meters off of the ground, or underneath a carport or shelter, it will be covered by a guard. This will usually be a piece of wire mesh covering the end of the flue exit.

Yes. As part of the installation process your engineer will carry out a MagnaCleanse flush on your whole heating system to ensure optimum efficiency and protects your heating system. The MagnaCleanse uses powerful specially designed system that uses powerful magnets to extract rust debris from your system.

Once your engineer has completed the MagnaCleanse Flush the system will be filled with fresh water and inhibitor added which will protect your system against corrosion and limescale deposition.

Our boiler manufacturers provide up to 13 years guarantee depending on which model of boiler you have installed. This will be detailed on the quotation beforehand.

Your old boiler and associated parts will be taken away from your home on the day of installation when the engineer leaves and recycled appropriately. If you would prefer to keep your old boiler, please let our engineer know on the day.

You will need to call the boiler manufacturer and book in a breakdown service. All phone numbers can be located in the installation booklets left with you at the time of boiler installation.

If you have any concerns or need help doing this, just give us a call and we will be able to help.
